Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ByteMatrix Technologies Pvt. Ltd.("ByteMatrix", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use the ByteMatrixwebsite and services. We are committed to handling your data with care and transparency, and to complying with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and other applicable Indian privacy law.

1. What data we collect

Information you give us directly: When you submit an early access request or contact form, we collect your name, work email address, brand name, approximate monthly influencer spend, and your role or designation. This is information you choose to provide.

Free tool usage: Our calculator tools run entirely in your browser. Inputs you enter into any calculator are not transmitted to our servers and are not stored. We do not collect personally identifiable information from tool usage.

Platform usage (early access): If you are granted access to the ByteMatrix platform, we collect information related to your account setup (email, name, brand details), and we record activity within the platform — such as campaigns created, creators searched, and reports generated — for the purpose of delivering and improving the service.

Automatically collected data: When you visit our website, our servers and analytics tools may collect standard technical data: your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent. This data is used in aggregated, anonymised form to understand site usage patterns and improve the product.

2. How we use your data

We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:

  • To evaluate your early access application and communicate our decision.
  • To respond to messages or queries you send us via the contact form or email.
  • To provide, maintain, and improve the platform for users who are granted access.
  • To send you product updates, onboarding materials, or service communications if you are an active user or accepted applicant. You can opt out at any time.
  • To fulfil legal and regulatory obligations applicable to our business.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse of our services.

We do not use your data to train machine learning models, sell advertising, or profile you for any purpose unrelated to providing the ByteMatrix service.

3. How we store your data

Your data is stored on secure infrastructure operated in accordance with industry-standard security practices, including encryption at rest and in transit. We maintain access controls to ensure that your data is accessible only to personnel and systems that require it to deliver the service.

We do not name our infrastructure or storage providers in this policy. Data is stored securely and handled only by personnel and systems required to deliver the service.

We do not store payment card data on our own systems. Any payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processors.

4. Data retention

Early access application data is retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission, or until you request deletion — whichever comes first.

Platform account data is retained for the duration of your account and for up to 12 months after account closure, to meet any legal or contractual obligations. After that period, it is deleted or permanently anonymised.

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

5. Sharing of your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

We may share your data with trusted service providers who assist us in running our business — such as email delivery services, analytics tools, and payment processors. These providers are contractually required to handle your data only as instructed by us, and to maintain appropriate security standards.

We may disclose your data if required to do so by law, court order, or a direction from a competent regulatory authority in India.

If ByteMatrix is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site or tools.
